This project analyzes the folklore of Bigfoot in the Pacific Northwest, exploring its significance within local cultures and its broader impact on American folklore. By examining the narrative structure, context, and function of Bigfoot stories, this website aims to illuminate how this legendary figure reflects and shapes the identity and values of communities in the region. Specifically, it investigates the role of Bigfoot tales in expressing communal values, confronting societal anxieties, and navigating the relationship between humans and nature.
